The Hanover Piano Trio comprises three musicians who have impressed the press and public alike with their thrilling and captivating performances, and their diverse and creative concert programming. They are Lucja Madziar, first concertmaster of the Lower Saxony State Orchestra Hanover, with whom Christine Balke is also Principal Cellist, and Katharina Sellheim, piano soloist and renowned accompanist.

The Hanover Piano Trio, having formed 2012 in Hanover, perform regularly at important music festivals such as the Beethoven Music Festival in Bonn. Recent important musical impulses have come from the Jean-Paul-Trio at the Beethoven House in Bonn.

In 2016, the Hanover Piano Trio have collaborated with the actor Matthias Neukirch, a member of the Zürich Theatre Company, in a specially arranged concert programme entitled, “If music be the food of love”, to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare´s death.
